Kabir Singh on Netflix:- 2019 is turning out to be a huge successful year for Bollywood aka Hindi film industry. Bollywood witnessed many Blockbusters and Super-Hits in this year and one of them is Kabir Singh. An official remake of the 2017 Telugu sensational romantic-drama Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh is the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2019 as of now. The Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer film collected more than Rs 280 crore nett in India by surpassing all the expectations. It is also the second highest grosser of Shahid Kapoor’s career after Padmaavat (302 Cr).
Kabir Singh on Netflix
Now the blockbuster film is all set to have it’s digital premiere on Netflix. Kabir Singh will be made available on Netflix from September 19th for online streaming and it’s expected to grab massive viewership on the online platform as well. Netflix had acquired Kabir Singh digital rights for a whooping sum of around Rs 12 crore. As the film made enough noise in the cinemas, it’s expected to create history on Netflix as well. As per the media reports, Kabir Singh’s uncut version will be released on Netflix which is going to be a treat for the audience. However there is no official confirmation regarding the uncut version release.
The film’s story revolves around Kabir Singh, a senior medical student with a passion for old English motorcycles and football, who is heartbroken when his girlfriend is forced to marry another man. Already struggling with anger issues, Kabir falls into a self-destructive spiral. Made on a budget of around Rs 70 crore, Kabir Singh minted a worldwide gross of over Rs 375 crore in it’s full rrun which is around 8 times higher than the lifetime collections of Arjun Reddy.
Kabir Singh got phenomenal response from the audience but was criticized by most of the critics and reviewers. However the collections didn’t witness any fall because of the strong word of mouth. Arjun Reddy, the original version of Kabir Singh, had featured Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.
